Taproom kegs
Kegs can be purchased from any of our locations, but the brewery in Elmira will have the best availability. If you are considering a keg purchase please know that the beer will be best when consumed within 20 days after tapping if using CO2 to push the beer in a kegerator and only about 36 hours if using a hand pump.
THINGS TO KNOW
1) A VALID, state issued I.D. is required to verify address for all keg purchases, regardless of age.
2) Keg purchases CANNOT be made over the phone or via email.
3) Kegs can be reserved for 24 hours in advance. Reservations are subject to availability. Our inventory will vary from week to week, so it’s best to inquire what’s available the day before pick up.
4) There is a $100 deposit for each keg. Deposits may only be made on and reimbursed to a credit card: no cash. In some instances the deposit amount may be returned in the form of a gift card at the brewery's discretion.
5) Deposits are fully refunded when the keg is returned within 60 days of purchase. We will only reimburse deposits to the customer who paid the original deposit and it will be returned to the same card that was used for the purchase.
6) Starting Sunday October 1st, 2023, any kegs returned to Upstate Brewing Company more than 60 after purchase will NOT be eligible for reimbursement of their deposit.
Holding onto our kegs longer than 60 days causes difficulties for our operation and forces us to incur additional costs to purchase more kegs. Eventually this will end up leading to higher prices, which we would greatly like to avoid. We hope you understand.
